When can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome to visit the harbour and village of St Michael's Mount from 14 September 2025 to 30 April 2026, excluding 2–19 April 2026.
Dogs, and other pets, are not permitted on the island between 1 May and 12 September 2026. During the busier season, higher visitor numbers, limited space and a lack of shaded areas on hot days mean that restricting dogs is the safest option for both visitors and animals.
Dogs will be welcome in the harbour and village again from 13 September 2026.
When dogs are permitted on the island, they are allowed in the harbour and village only. They are not allowed in the castle, castle grounds, summit, castle paths, garden, Steward's House, Harbour Loft or the shops.
What about assistance dogs?
Assistance Dogs are permitted to visit St Michael's Mount, the harbour, café, Harbour Loft, shops, village, castle and the garden at all times throughout the year when we are open. If you require an assistance dog, please email us at enquiries@stmichaelsmount.co.uk to let us know in advance of your visit.
Can my dog go on Marazion Beach?
Marazion beach has a dog ban from 1 July until 31 August between 10:00 and 18:00 and is dog-friendly outside of these hours and between 1 September and 30 June when dogs are permitted on the beach.
