Access to St Michael's Mount including the harbour and village, shops, cafés and art gallery is free between 01 October and 11 April. Tickets are not required during this period to visit the island. However, a ticket is required to visit the castle after it opens from March 30th onwards.

The Sheila Hichens Collection of Newlyn School art is housed in a building that was built in the 1700s to act both as a residence and an office for the Mount Steward.
