St Michael’s Mount raised £6,300 for the National Garden Scheme (NGS) during a special charity open day on Sunday 21 June.
All proceeds from garden admissions were donated to the National Garden Scheme, supporting nursing and health charities across the UK. The event offered visitors the opportunity to explore the Mount’s subtropical garden on a day it is not usually open to the public.
Perched above Mount’s Bay, the garden is home to a unique collection of plants from around the world, thriving in the Mount’s mild maritime climate.
Darren Little, Head Gardener at St Michael’s Mount, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who visited the gardens for National Garden Scheme Day. Raising £6,300 is a fantastic result and will help support the valuable work carried out by the charities that benefit from the scheme. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the garden while supporting such an important cause.”
St Michael’s Mount has supported the National Garden Scheme for many years, helping to raise vital funds while opening its gardens for this annual charitable event.
The gardens remain open until 4 September 2026, showcasing vibrant seasonal displays, exotic planting and spectacular coastal views.
