The island will be open Sunday February 16 to Wednesday February 19. Access on and off will be via the causeway and times will vary on each day - please see our walking times calendar for timings. Entry onto the island is free and tickets are not needed. However, if you would like to visit the castle, you will need to purchase a ticket online before your arrival.


Guided Castle Tours
The castle will be open for guided tours and visitors wishing to delve into the history and legends will need to book tickets in advance. Let our knowledgeable guides take you back to the past exploring each room and meandering along centuries-old corridors. They will tell tales of days gone by and dig deep into the Mountās history as you go. Stoop through ancient doorways and glimpse the buildingās changing faces ā from priory to fortified castle and, since the mid-1600s, home to the St Aubyn family, who still live here today.

What will be open?
Entry is free during this period, which means visitors can explore the harbour and village without the need to buy a ticket. The castle will also be open on these days for guided tours, however, you will need to purchase a ticket should you wish to visit the castle. The Island CafĆ© will be open for refreshments, while the Mount and Island shops will be available for anyone looking to take home a lasting memento from the Mount. The Stewardās House Art Gallery is currently home to the Sheila Hichens Collection which comprises artwork by Newlyn School artists that depict how life was lived in west Cornwall before the middle of the twentieth century.
What time can I visit?
Access on and off will be via the causeway only, as our boats do not run during this time of the year. Opening and closing times will therefore vary each day with the tides - please see our walking times calendar for exact timings to help you to plan your visit.

Dogs
Dogs are welcome on the island during this period in the harbour, village and Island CafĆ©. This does not include the castle, summit, castle grounds, castle paths, Stewardās House or shops.
National Trust Members
During February half term access to the island is free for everyone, so you do not need proof of membership. If you are booking castle ticket your National Trust membership type will be verified on arrival, so please book tickets according to the numbers in your party and bring your current, valid membership cards with you on the day.
