Sunday 27 September: due to stormy seas forecast this afternoon, the ferry boats will be unable to operate once the causeway closes. Therefore, the island will close early at 14:00 with all visitors leaving on foot via the causeway.

The last entry to the castle will be at 13:00. If you have a ticket booked anytime after 13:00, please arrive before the last entry.

If this means you can no longer visit, you can use your existing tickets before Friday 2 October and there is no need to rebook or let us know.

We are sorry if this means you cannot visit. Any tickets that are not used will be refunded in full automatically on Sunday 4 October and we expect monies to be returned to the accounts from which payments were made within 5-7 business days.

We are a tidal island that is governed by the forces of nature and sometimes those elements work against us.

We hope to be able to welcome you onto St Michael’s Mount soon.
