Recent stormy seas have caused the channel at Chapel Rock to fill with sand, meaning boats will only be able to operate until 12:30pm today, Sunday 7 June.
Visitors arriving before 12:30pm can travel to the island by boat. After 12:30pm, the next opportunity to access or leave the island will be via the causeway, which opens at 2:45pm.
If you are booked to visit between 12:30pm and 2:45pm, please arrive before 12:30pm or plan to cross via the causeway when it opens at 2:45pm.
Please note there will be an approximate two-hour period when there is no access between the mainland and the island.
If this means you are unable to visit today, you can use your existing tickets on any day up to and including Friday 12 June. There is no need to re-book.
We are sorry if this means you cannot visit. Any tickets that are not used will be automatically refunded in full on Monday 16 June and we expect monies to be returned to the accounts from which payments were made within 5-7 business days.
We are a tidal island that is governed by the forces of nature and sometimes those elements work against us.
We hope to be able to welcome you onto St Michael’s Mount soon.
Warmest wishes,
The St Michael’s Mount Team
