Enjoy Afternoon Tea with a complimentary garden visit

Afternoon Tea on St Michael’s Mount is the perfect way to celebrate a special occasion or complete a visit to this enchanting island. Weekday Afternoon Tea bookings include complimentary access to the subtropical garden (see details below).

Head Chef, Marcus Houghton, has created a menu inspired by fresh Cornish produce, including some ingredients grown and harvested here on the island.

Access to the garden, Harbour Village, Steward’s House Art Gallery, Barge House visitor centre, shops and facilities is included in your booking.

We offer classic and children’s Afternoon Tea menus with variations suitable for vegan, vegetarian, and non-gluten containing dietary requirements. Please make a note of any dietary requests when booking. Menus are subject to change to reflect ingredients available throughout the seasons.

Complimentary garden access

Weekday Afternoon Tea bookings include complimentary access to the subtropical garden until 4 September. You can choose to enjoy a stroll through the garden either before or after your tea.

You’re welcome to visit the garden at any point during the day of your booking while it is open. Last admission to the garden is at 16:00. Please note that your booking time refers to your arrival time at the restaurant.

Children's tea

£18.50 per child.

If you are visiting us with a little one, our children's Afternoon Tea is perfect for mini appetites.

A giant's heart jelly, a chocolate brownie and a raspberry ripple cake, accompanied by cucumber, ham and cheese sandwiches served with a glass of milk or apple juice.

Opening times & booking

Open Sunday - Friday (closed Saturdays), 13:00 - 17:00. First sitting @ 14:00; last sitting @ 15:30.

If you have purchased a gift voucher, book your table as normal via the booking calendar.

Please note, you will be asked for your card details to secure the booking. However, payment will only be taken after your meal.

Access on and off the island will be via our ferry boats and/or the causeway.

Head Chef Marcus Houghton

With more than 25 years’ experience in Cornish kitchens, Marcus Houghton joins St Michael’s Mount as Head Chef, leading the teams at Harbour Loft and the Island Café.

Marcus spent 13 years working alongside celebrated chef Jude Kereama at Kota Kai, where he developed a strong focus on sustainability, seasonality and local produce. Marcus is particularly excited to work with the wild ingredients that grow naturally on the island.

Gift vouchers

The perfect gift to celebrate a special occasion. A traditional treat to make lasting Mount memories. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase.

Please note, the recipient of the gift voucher can book online as normal and simply bring their voucher with them on the day.
