Perched above the harbour with views across Mount’s Bay, the Harbour Loft at St Michael’s Mount offers bistro-style dining celebrating the best of Cornwall’s coastal flavours. The menu is built around fresh Newlyn-landed fish and locally sourced seasonal ingredients. Expect simply prepared seafood, light small plates and bistro classics, all showcasing the quality of Cornish produce.
The Harbour Loft is the perfect place for unhurried lunches or afternoon suppers, with great food, sea views and a strong sense of place. Whether watching boats move with the tide, observing island life unfolding below, or simply enjoying the sense of being suspended between land and sea. It reflects the Mount’s quieter rhythms and offers a gentle contrast to the activity of the harbour beneath.

Meet Greg Milne, the Head Chef behind the dishes
Perched above the harbour, the new bistro-style offering marks an exciting evolution for dining on the island. Led by Head Chef Greg Milne, the menu champions locally sourced meat, fish and vegetables, with an emphasis on seasonality.
From fish landed just along the coast to foraged ingredients gathered on St Michael’s Mount itself, every dish reflects a deep connection to the landscape and waters surrounding the island.
Local suppliers
At Harbour Loft, our menu is shaped by what’s fresh, seasonal and close to home. We work closely with a trusted network of local suppliers, sourcing high-quality ingredients that reflect the best of West Cornwall’s land and sea.
From fish landed nearby to produce grown just miles away, our ingredients are chosen for their flavour, seasonality and provenance. A strong focus on sustainability underpins these relationships, helping to reduce food miles and support responsible production.
